It's hard on me and my family. SCI complications are serious, we're dieing young. I never got justice, no support from the man who shot, paralyzed me. I haven't given up, My family will back me up. I went to hospital yesterday. I'm always sore the next day and going out is extra painful. The spasms are horrible, causing my lower extremities to hurt. If you could win an award for living in extreme conditions, but still have hope, even though I'm told I want get better I would be #1 First place winner. If someone can treat my spasms this should cut down on some of the pain. Pain is an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage. In general, people can experience acute and chronic pain. Most people experience acute pain when they have a disease or injury to the body. It usually begins suddenly and acts as a danger signal telling you that something is wrong and that you need help. This acute pain can be severe or mild, but it usually goes away as the body heals. Chronic pain is like acute pain in that it can start suddenly. However, chronic pain differs because it can build up over time and continue long after the body heals.

One extremely painful day about 5-7 yrs ago with no warning my legs started jerking in and out up and down, so my mom rushed me to my pain Doctor, Dr. Mangieri in Northport, Alabama. He made a bad judgment and now it haunts me to date, so I'm unable to get a good pain and spasms Doctor .Story is listed below. I’m a good person and IM not prejudice. I didn’t hurt people so I don’t understand why I was shot but it left me with the worst spasms and pain that you could never imagine The same way it did to this Man. Read this, hear it coming from someone else that also suffered a gunshot wound that paralyzed him and left him in pain. In the 1960s, I felt that George Wallace represented all that was wrong with the United States of America It may seem strange, then, that I hold the view now that he truly repented as he sought forgiveness from the many he had maligned during the 1960s and early 1970s. I have believed for many years that the bullets that brought pain to his body made it possible for him to understand real pain for the first time in his life. As he looked around Alabama, he could see that his earlier behavior had caused a great deal of pain to a great number of people. Finally, he could identify with these people as his and their pain brought a level of equality between and among them. Had the failed assassin's bullets missed, or had there been no such attempt on his life, I believe he would not have sought reconciliation with those he had hurt--at least, it would not have come so early nor so sincerely

The Complications of spinal cord injury includes: Pain, spasms and wounds, what did I leave out? This is ruining my life and I don’t know how long I can take this. Im having a hard time coping. I don’t feel like writing much anymore. Very few seem to care and No one knows what to do, im not sure anymore. I want to re accomplish in life but my body want allow this. This is hard for my brain to process right now. 06.18.09 A friend since grammar school, Arthur came to see me and repaired my central air its 108 degrees real feel outside and I was suffering even more, too much to go to hospital. Im blessed to have him as a friend. When we talk its like I saw him just yesterday. This is rare. ty Arthur
“change the things I can’t accept”

My goal is to push as much as my body will allow, and hope it has the rewards I expected. My body is letting my brain down. One of these three things is holding me and other people back:

1. Technology isn’t advanced enough in SCI compilations?
2. I don’t have the money to get the help I need?
3. Prejudice, stereotyping, and/or the availability of resources?

No one seems to care until something attacks their health then their unable. If I had money and fame I would help people. I don’t expect anyone to not pay their bills and enjoy their riches but you can’t enjoy it when your dead.

I want to help my family and friends and people that really need it, like me. I can’t do it without help. I lost my business, it was my life and it feed my family, the community and bought my toys and I gave to charities. I wasn’t supposed to lay here stiff from the waist down. Didn’t God put me here to enjoy life as an able bodied human being? I want the pain and spasms to go away

There is no amount of money that can rectify the physical and emotional damage I and my kids went through and live with. We deserve a better quality of life. It saves the tax payers $money if you reside at home like me instead of a nursing home. This cost me a lot of money that I cant earn, that hurts and shames me. My disability check is less than minimum wage I want to better my quality of life, but I need some assistance. I will not go back to a nursing home. This doesn’t imply all nursing homes are bad, but My short stay in a nursing home was not a pretty picture. I saw things that shouldn’t happen. You don’t want your love ones in some nursing homes if you can take care of them, you live longer when you’re at home with love ones instead of the nursing home. I been speaking with Med south Inc over 3 months and don’t understand why they can’t repair or replace my worn out wheelchair. 08.03.09: They came in picked up my chair today.I been nice and patient and have the emails to prove it, its important. I will burn up if my home catches fire. I finally received a repaired wheelchair. I never got a dime of donations so i took it down. bamajeff61@yahoo.com

I Miss working and making money like most americans. I took pride in what I was doing for a living. A professional locksmith and Business owner for about 15 years.

I want to honor my Dad: Bobby Ramsey. He was a Great man and inspired me to start my business. J.R. Lock & Key 15 years. He helped me while he was wearing oxygen; it was so painful when he died. I love you Daddy. Rest in peace.

One extremely painful day! “One careless Doctor” Before I get to the story I just want to inform everyone and Dr. Mangieri that when my pump would overdose me I would end up in the hospital some times and they would have me on all types of meds to relax me but I knew when I got out the meds and pump keeping me relaxed would ware off and I would go back to extreme spasms and pain, he never made the connection, this is what I think, he has no common sense he’s just a book junkie lacking social media interaction with others and no sense of humor that’s what I think, you tell me? about 5-7 yrs ago with no warning my legs started jerking in and out up and down, so my mom rushed me to my pain Doctor, Dr. Mangieri in Northport, Alabama. When he seen what was happening he said I seen this before it’s from using intravenous drugs, I looked up at him like he was crazy. He knows i have a baclofen/morphine pump implanted in my body, but he didn’t check the pump he wrote me a lot of prescriptions and sent me home with no pain medicine in excruciation pain and extreme spasms it was one of the worst days of my life. This went on for almost 28 days with my legs jerking. my mom She stayed with me the whole time i went through this hell and I got a call or my mom called him and I ended up in the hospital, come to find out my catheter that runs from the pump to the spinal cord had kinked so the medicine wasnt reaching my spinal cord, so I suffered for no reason. He put everything i just wrote in my records and left the part using intravenous drugs was the reason I was jerking, well every time I went to see another doctor they didn’t want to treat my pain and treated me like a junkie. I never got an apology from Dr Mangieri. This is why I have to use my regular doctor to help me. I can’t get the help i need cause Mangieri put this in my records. I need this removed from my records so I can get help it’s been over 5-7 years. I’m sorry but he could have helped, I don’t like him. I wouldn’t go to him for pump or pain problems because he wasn’t smart enough to figure this out then or didnt care and I suffered and I still do but not as much as I did those 28 days because of his actions. I did send him a letter and try to straighten this up and he fired me like a Coward I think he is. If you could feel my pain and spasms you may want to die but since I'M a fighter I continue to live This horrible quality of life
