A breakthrough in Spinal Cord Injury, Please support your scientist, Drs, SCI complications is fighting me, Im not able to keep up some days. I could easily give up, but I choose not. The saddest thing about my injury is My kids didn't deserve this horrible burden, I don't know how much negative effect it had, has on them. We had it made and didn't know it. Having a cripple dad in pain, that cant help, Its hard on us. The shooter is gone and didn't offer any help or apologize. If I had been in an automobile accident and paralyzed by a negligent driver, I would have been compensated, very well and wouldn't have to rely, depend on the government. I would have paid taxes from my award. I would have better insurance or pay cash and able to help my family more than I did. I want to help my kids. My pain is extreme, and I spasm to the touch, pressure sores are healing slow and stable. I'm doing everything imaginable to improve my quality of life. I Try to update when the spasms and pain will allow, working on anything increases spasms and pain. I'm fighting for my life. A cure for Spinal Cord Injury is a long time waiting, probably not in my lifetime. I wont need any help if I'm spasm and pain free. I can help others. It started with pressure sores; actually it started with someone accidentally shooting me in the back, paralyzing me from T-9 Down in my place of business. After the fact I always had extreme spasms and pain, The Spasms cause  my legs to draw in resulting in more pain and spasms so I let them hang off the couch forcing me to lie on my side, swapping from L side to R side while in the seated position, It felt better in that position.. Drs Doctors didn’t know my hip bone/joints were infected until it was too late, and had to be removed, leaving a large indention on the left side. The right side healed, but the left side sore/incision won’t heal because of extreme spasms and the indention. Sitting up without pain allowing me to be more productive is my goal, and Working out and working again. I’m 50 yo now; I was shot in 97 and still suffering.
